We Played Softball!

Another post.

The previous Monday, my class played softball during PE! When I found out about the plan to play, I was practically bouncing with excitement. Forget no food for the rest of the day. We were going to play softball, the closest thing I'll ever get to baseball!

So here's how it went. First of all, we were divided into two teams, with my team batting first. My friend picked up the bat, waited for the ball to come back to the pitcher and got ready. The ball flew, she swung and managed to hit it. As we cheered, the ball rolled a little past the pitcher, in between a couple of other people and past the pitcher again, all the while giving my friend time to run to the first base, second base, third base and then back home.

We were thrilled.

Then it was the next batter's turn. Again, the ball flew, she swung and managed to hit it. We cheered, the ball rolled around and she managed to score our second home run.

Then it was our turn to play defense. I'm not sure what my role was; what I did know was that I was near the second base and that I had a mitt. So. It went on.

During my turn to bat, I think I was a little giddy. The first throw was a strike, because I was nervous and swung and missed horribly. The second was a ball which was high enough for me to know it was a ball. Then I managed to hit the third throw and got on second base, after which I managed to get back home after the next hit.

The feeling. It was awesome.

The end score was a tie. Which means both teams were just as bad. There were quite a few home runs, although practically all of them happened because none of us could catch the ball properly. In fact, there would have been more, if only certain people had remembered to step on the bases.

Still, it was fun. One of the best PE classes I've ever had.

Your game sounds awesome. XDD Y'all have amazing talent. Should go pro. XD ♥

No, we don't. We were bad. As in no talent. But I suppose it was still fun because everyone was playing at roughly the same (read: bad) level. =.=

You're so lucky >.< ! Here where I live baseball/softball is prety much non-existent as a sport ;__;

Well, we were lucky that baseball was part of our syllabus, although I think no one enjoyed playing it quite as much as I did. XD
